Seed Company

From December of 2022 till March 2024, I worked with Seed Company to write blog posts that capture audience attention, update key stakeholders, build awareness, and leverage personal stories. My contacts provide me with sources and general topics, then release me to research any necessary details and pull together all the facts to create thoughtful, impactful body copy, title tags, and meta descriptions.

T.D. Jakes Ministries and The Potter’s House of Dallas

From summer of 2022 through 2023, I worked as a copywriter for The Potter’s House and T.D. Jakes Ministries. After a few hours spent watching sermons and analyzing style guides, I began to master the various brand voices and produce impactful copy to support the ministry’s engagement goals by drafting copy for social media, email campaigns, SMS messages, and print material.

The Sunday School Store

In 2022 and 2023 I worked as Managing Editor for The Sunday School Store. I streamlined their on-boarding process for hiring new writers, developed the brand’s style guide, and had touch points on all the products they produced to ensure the highest quality content at the most affordable price for churches who want to teach the gospel without draining their budget.

Atmosphere Press

From March of 2022 to April 2023, I worked with Atmosphere Press to evaluate author manuscripts in a variety of genres. As an acquisitions editor, I looked for books with that spark of potential, then worked with authors to get contracts drawn up and signed so their book babies can be developed and released into the world. As a developmental editor, I read full manuscripts with the goal of addressing distracting writing quirks, structural story issues, or problems with character development.

The Gospel Project for Kids

From August 2015 until July of 2021, I was the primary content editor for four major products of The Gospel Project for Kids: The Younger Kids Leader Guide, the Kids Worship Hour Add-On, the Younger Kids Activity Pages, and the Big Picture Cards for Families. I worked with videographers and composers to give guidance for the music and videos we produced; collaborated with our brand manager to run marketing booths at various conferences; managed a team of contract writers to grow their skill and guide their ability to adopt our brand voice; and hosted annual writers’ conferences where we brainstormed future sessions, trained contract writers more extensively, and built relationships with our dozens of contributors.
